Gambling the rat way

Gambling rat

Another crook, another day. The thefts among those entrusted with money just don’t end.

An accountant working for a hospitality organization has been caught after stealing $500,000 from her employer. The lady just pleaded guilty, as hardcore gambling news report, and now is facing up to 23 years in prison. However, before sentencing happens, she is roaming free on a $25,000 bail.

Ms. D. may as well get off with a lighter sentence after agreeing to cooperate with the investigators. As the trial uncovered, the woman spent the stolen money at offshore online casinos, and now is assisting the law enforcement in catching others involved in suspected crimes.

While we don’t support any crime, we do see a rat, who first steals and then seeks to bring others down to save herself. Perhaps, a tough jail environment will fix it.

Nevertheless, this deranged rat apologized for her sins, while crying and, as stated, accepting full responsibility. What does that mean? The judge ordered a repayment of only $350,000 out of $500,000 stolen. Will she pay back remaining $150,000? We certainly don’t think so, thus, accepting full responsibility in this case is a perfidious joke.

There is another twist to this story. Ms. D had an intimate relationship with her boss, who after hearing of the theft, killed himself, making the lady a black widow of losing casino strategies. Maybe at jail she’ll get to practice gambling more.

Gambling is fun and, if done responsibly, will not cause harm. You may even hit a progressive jackpot. But play with your own money, don’t steal: That’s the moral of this story.
