Google has finally made the Android 4.3 official, as was widely expected it’s a minor upgrade with limited improvements and new features.

The Android 4.3 upgrade has been in the news for quite some time, but Google has only announced it officially a couple of days ago. Just as the industry experts predicted, it’s a minor upgrade delivering a few tweaks to user experience, which will not immensely affect mobile casino experience and general use of the smartphones.

The multi-user support has already been launched with the 4.2 version, and now its updated with new restricted profiles, which can limit the content and applications used including in-app limits, such as what levels of a mobile casino game can be played. Hangouts has finally replaced Talk, and Keep app is available right out-of-the-box. The usual stuff including Chrome, Drive, and Maps received updates as well.

Notification handling on Android casino taming devices will change as well: notification history can now be viewed. 3rd party applications will also receive access to notifications, allowing smart watches and applications to sync them across several devices.

The 3D game graphics receive impressive revamps, thanks to the introduction of OpenGL ES 3.0 support. There’s a brand new Google Play Games app, allowing users to track games friends play, and see the leaderboard of achievements in any game.

Low Energy mode for Bluetooth 4.0 has been introduced, decreasing the power used to support low-bandwidth accessories. Bluetooth will also support AVRCP 1.3 from now on, allowing the smartphones to stream metadata about the song currently being played, to car stereos and wireless speakers.

Wi-Fi is now allowed to be on all the time in order to determine the user’s position (even if it’s toggled off). Also a brand new hardware-based DRM encryption was introduced allowing content providers to stream high-quality content. The first one to take advantage of this novelty will be Netflix, promising 1080p content.

Smartphone manufacturers have already started to publish lists of what devices are in line to get the Android 4.3 update. Naturally, Galaxy Nexus’ are among the first, and so are the Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One Google Play Edition.
