Bet365 Plans to Expand Its Offices and Create 600 New Jobs
Gambling site Bet365 is scheduling to move their offices to a new complex in Forge Lane Etruria
Online and mobile casino, bingo and sportsbook giant Bet365 are moving to a brand new office complex in Lane Etruria. The reason for this tremendous investment is the increase in pretax online gambling profits, by more than 50% in 2012. Therefore, Bet365 decided to improve their working environment and at the same time create 600 new jobs over a 10 year period.
The moving from Stoke-on-Trent to the future built facility in Forge Lane, Etruria will cost millions of pounds to the Coates family. Currently, the mobile sports betting company is the single largest employer in the Potteries with 2,200 people. Therefore the news for more job prospects was warmly welcomed by the 249,000 people city. The size of the current offices will be doubled to 13,000 m2.
Denise Coates, the joint chief executive of Bet365, commented: “We are proud to be the largest private sector employer in Stoke-on-Trent so we like to think this is good news for us and good news for the city. At the moment we contribute over L80 million annually into the economy in terms of staff wages, so it’s a significant amount being invested in the area in terms of those wages. Other businesses will also benefit.”
The plan for the office moving of the online and mobile sportsbook operator is to take place in early 2016 and it is yet unknown what the future of the currently existing offices will be.
