BlackBerry Makes the New BB10 OS Devices Official
New BlackBerries
Mobile casino gamers jump for joy as RIM officially announces the brand new devices running on the BB10 OS – the Q10 and the Z10.
RIM, or should we say BlackBerry from now on, has just officially released its brand new OS – BB10, and a couple of devices to go with it – the BlackBerry Z10 and Q10. The multitude of rumors surrounding the new OS and devices has already covered all the features and specs, but now it’s all official.
The main differentiating point of the BB10 OS is the focus on the touch gestures, even for the BlackBerry Q10, which is a classic BlackBerry device with QWERTY keyboard.
The BlackBerry Z10 on the other hand is the touch-only smartphone featuring a 4.2 inch WXGA display with 356ppi density. It’s powered by a dual-core Krait CPU clocked at 1.5GHz, 2GB of RAM, allowing extended multi-tasking and mobile casino gambling.
The Z10 BlackBerry gambling device also comes with an 8MP snapper with TimeShift tech and 1080p video capabilities. The new smartphone has 16GB of internal memory and a microSD card slot for further extension. An HDMI port is something new for BlackBerries, but warmly welcomed feature nonetheless.
Other specs include LTE connectivity, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and NFC. The advanced touchscreen keyboard of the new BlackBerry casinos tool is said to fully replace the functionality of the usual hardware keys found on RIM’s products.
As for the hardware keyboard – there’s the BlackBerry Q10 for all mobile casino enthusiasts. However, it also comes with a touchscreen, a rather peculiar one – 3.1 inch 720×720 AMOLED with 330ppi density. The Q10 boasts a beautiful stainless steel frame and “edge-to-edge” glass. The power features are the same as in the Z10.
The BlackBerry Z10 has already hit the shelves in the UK through all major carriers and retailers with both contract and SIM-free deals. The device will launch in Canada on February 5th for $150 with a 3-year contract. American gamers will be able to lay their hands on the Z10 only in March for a suggested price of $200 with 2-year deals from a number of operators.
The BlackBerry Q10 is widely expected to become available globally sometime in April.
