Coral Extends Sponsorship of the Welsh Grand National
Coral & WelshCoral, UK bookmaker, prolongs its sponsorship of the Welsh Grand National annual horseracing event with five years.
Coral, which is a division of the land-based and mobile sports betting operator Gala Coral, will proudly continue to fund the race, which takes place every December at Chepstow Racecourse as part of its Christmas programme. Coral will keep on working with both Chepstow Racecourse and its operator, Arena Racing Company, on different activities.
Coral and Chepstow Christmas make history together
The latest extension of the contract will round off the association of Coral with Chepstow Christmas to the impressive 45 years. This will make this partnership the third longest sponsorship deal in jumps racing and the longest partnership between a racecourse and a bookmaker in jumps racing. This years’ edition of the Welsh Grand National will take place on December 28.
Phil Bell, Arena Racing’s executive director south west, commented: “We are extremely grateful for Coral’s support of the Welsh Grand National and look forward to continuing the longest jump racing sponsorship relationship between a racecourse and a bookmaker.”
This sponsorship proved to be one of the very distinct cases in the history of land-based and mobile sports betting operator’s patronage. The company has proved to be very devoted to helping the improvement of various sports activities.
The last example of that was Coral’s sponsorship of the latest event of the Professional Darts Corporation, which brought together the world’s top 16 players to compete in a world-class environment.
