The atmosphere at this casino is so smoky that some patrons sit at the tables wearing surgical masks. A recent agreement signed between the state of Florida and the Seminole tribe will eventually lead to smoke-free areas in all Seminole casinos, along with better ventilation in smoking areas – these changes should happen within the next five years.

as an ex-smoker, i have mixed feelings about this. on the one hand, i know what it’s like wanting to smoke in public places, but on the other hand, i know how unpleasant it is when you don’t smoke.
i think at the end of the day, it’s better to inconvenience the smokers rather than the non-smokers.

in australia you are not allowed to smoke in pubs/clubs and other public places. but you were allowed to smoke in the pokies section, which was great business for slots owners. lots of my dollars went into nowhere because of this…and it was too cold to go outside
