Most likely, Lady Gaga is going to cancel her concert in Indonesia after threats of death and extreme violence coming from Indonesian Islamists.
As international news report, the Indonesian authorities declined to issue a concert permit to Lady Gaga after pressure from many Jihadist and Islamic groups which populate this mostly Muslim nation.
This puzzles many since Indonesia is seeking to promote itself as a modern nation, which it clearly is not. Pressures from Islamic terrorist-like groups, threatening of bombing and bloodshed, led the government to block the famous American singer from performing.
Many Sharia Law-seeking barbarians, still living in the Middle Ages, seem offended when women wear skirts, yet have no problem with marrying 10-year-old girls, or cutting a hand and lashing a victim for the heinous crime of sports betting or attending card game tournaments.
To appease the international outrage at the limitations of personal freedoms and treating women like personal property, the authorities in Indonesia now claim that the concert permit hasn’t been declined, but due to the inability to guarantee security to the pop music star, the permit will not be issued.
This definitely doesn’t make Indonesia look like a modern country.
