IPhone 5 Release Date Partially Confirmed by Trusted Source
iPhone 5 dock
Previous rumors about the iPhone 5 having a smaller dock connector receive confirmation from a trusted source.
We’ve all heard it: the iPhone 5 is rumored to feature a smaller dock connector instead of the current 30-pin one. Now, a source close to Reuters, which we have no reason to doubt, confirmed the next gen iPhone casinos tamer will come with a 19-pin connector.
The smaller dock connector actually explains other rumors circling around the headphone jack moving from the top of the phone to the bottom. Whether that’s a good thing or not is solely up to the real money iPhone mobile gambling fans to decide.
The leaked images also reveal that the speaker grill and the microphone will remain in their usual place, however, will receive a different design.
If the move to the new type of the dock connector turns out to be true, it will certainly send a shockwave of disappointment across the horde of mobile casino gamers, who own Apple accessories. The smaller dock simply means that no previous accessories will work with the new smartphone.
Although Apple’s drive for more profits from accessories sales is a clear motivation for the move, it still seems a bit unfair for owners of expensive Apple products to have to buy a whole new set of gadgets to accommodate the new dock. After all, they could’ve simply switched to the highly popular microUSB standard. Oh, well, that’s Apple and there’s nothing we can do about it.
Meanwhile another source suggested that the Taiwanese Pegatron factory has already begun production of the new iPhone, partially confirming the rumored October release date. In any case, the official confirmation from the Cupertino company is bound to surface soon, until then keep coming back for further updates.
