Last month, Jeff Martinez and his family evicted from their Las Vegas home. Martinez was fighting colon and liver cancer at the time, and even though he continued to work, and even though his wife juggled two full-time jobs, they were unable to keep up with their mortgage.

Last Friday, everything changed for the Martinez family. An anonymous blackjack champ who goes by the name of RobinHood 702 knocked on Martinez’s door, and greeted the man with a simple message. “We’re going to make a miracle happen for you and your family,” said the blackjack player.

RobinHood 702 has a history of using his blackjack winnings to help people in need. This time, he has offered to pay the Martinez family’s rent for the next year, and to provide them with a leased car for the next two years. This will give the family time to regain financial security.

“I never imagined someone could do this for us. It’s going to help me heal and you know what? He’s going to be the first person I call when I can finally say, ‘I’m cured of cancer.’ Thanks to Robin Hood, I’m on top of the world.”
