Lotto Winner Picks Up a EUR 588,144 Check in Dublin
Super fortunate lotto winner collected his amazing EUR 588,144 award from the National Lottery in Dublin.
He decided to keep his anonymity and was one of six winners, who chose to play lotto instead of online blackjack and didn’t make a mistake. They shared the lotto jackpot of more than EUR 3.5 million.
This was the highest number of ticketholders who shared the jackpot since the current version of the game was introduced in November 2006.
The winner is certainly excited
The big lotto winner began his celebrations with a glass of champagne. He explained his huge shock when he found out. He commented on the great gambling news: “I watched the Lotto draw and wrote down the numbers, but I didn’t at first realize I’d won.”
He continued:“It was the first week I’d ever chosen those six numbers and I couldn’t remember what they were! Then later that night I checked my ticket and I got the shock of my life – my heart was racing. It still is.”
The winner plans to share his award with his family. He got his ticket on the day of the draw in the middle of last month.
A funny story surrounding the win was a Facebook post that proclaimed Paul Berry of Corish Park to be the lucky winner. But later on his father Willie explained that this was just a prank created by his brother.
