Microsoft Surface Tablet Suitable for Mobile Gambling
Microsoft Surface
The OS, size and portability make the Microsoft Surface tablet a good choice for mobile gamblers.
Apple rival Microsoft also announced on Tuesday the launch of its new Surface tablet, set to go on sale from 26 October. The 10.6-inch Windows tablet will sell at $499 for a 32GB model without keyboard, and at $699 for a 64GB model with the keyboard included. For comparison: the price tag for a low-end iPad mini is expected to be between $250 and $300, but its main target will naturally be the iPad 3.
The device, awaited to be an iPad-slayer, will run on Windows RT, which is a scaled down version of Windows 8 made especially for tablets. The Surface tablet boasts two HD cameras, a kickstand as well as ports for USB, microSD cards and HD video out.
Surface tablet can be a good choice for mobile gambling
Although not as small as the anticipated iPad mini, one can easily carry a Microsoft Surface tablet around, which is the essential thing in mobile gambling. You can easily put mobile bets or place wagers anywhere you are and have a great gaming experience.
Surface, running on windows 8, does not have as many native apps as iPad or Android, but this can change, as Microsoft is rumored to even pay for developers to release titles for its platform.
Also, the gambling legislation in your country must allow you to play for real-money in mobile gambling, which is often not the case. Therefore, both Google and Apple are rather picky what gambling apps are allowed in their respective app stores.
You might have less problems visiting an online casino using your Surface as with, say, the iPad mini. Apple does not support Flash, which many no-download casinos still feature, while Surface might. Some analysts say Flash is dead anyways, so by the time the Surface comes out, this question will be rather outdated.
