Operators Have Until September 20th to Lodge Application for iGaming License

That’s right: online and mobile casinos will be shortly arriving in New Jersey. The state’s Division of Gaming Enforcement has announced that license applicants have until Friday 20th September to submit all the relevant documentation and complete their applications.

It’s the next step on the road towards mobile casino gambling in the US, after the state has previously announced its plans to have the first real money online casino in America live by November 23rd.

Of course, this being American gambling legislation, it’s not just as simple as an online casino anyone can play, instead being limited to gamers within the state. As such, the operators looking to head online need to have geolocation, know your customer and age verification software in place by this Friday.

Of course, with Delaware already offering players a Facebook casino, and with it iPhone gambling – for fake money, of course, though – the mobile market in the states is due to really take off very soon. With rumors abounding about Google becoming involved, this is set to be big – well, huge actually – news across the US.

New Jersey has made it’s move now, substantially quicker than the other states to legalize online gambling so far. California, on the other hand, failed to get its online gambling bill on the table before the end of the legislative term. They’ll have to wait now.
