Mobile Gaming Firm King Posts Record Growth in Earnings for Q1 of 2014
Due to its large and customer oriented gaming portfolio, King reports substantial revenue increase in first quarter.
The mobile arcade games developer reported revenue earnings of $606.7 million for the first quarter of this year, which marks an astonishing increase of 195% from a year before.
Gross booking went up to $641.1 million, which is equivalent to a rise of an incredible 193% from the same time last year.
The overall success resulted in profits going up 142% reaching $127.2 million, which represents an increase of $75 million form a year prior.
The numbers for daily active users are also impressive, as they stand at 143 million for the first quarter. While monthly figures shows 343 million users for Q1 of 2014.
Some critics would argue that King is raking in as much as some mobile casino firm, considering the level of their financial success.
Extensive portfolio of games way for the future
Chief executive officer of King, Riccardo Zacconi, conveyed his delight at the financial news about the firm, and is looking to build on the current momentum.
“We are pleased with our first quarter 2014 results and are executing on our plan to build a strong portfolio of games.”
He further added that King’s extensive portfolio will enable them to achieve greater things in the future, as 2014 seems to be their year.
“With the massive reach of our player network, our existing portfolio of highly engaging games, and our development plan for additional games well underway, we are well-positioned for gross bookings growth and diversification in 2014.”
