UK Mobile Gamers Looked at in Report by Clarion Events and Vivid Interface
Clarion Events and Vivid Interface have released their mobile casino and gambling report after studying UK mobile gambling trends.
The two companies unveiled the research at the recent European iGaming 2013 Barcelona event. The study, entitled ‘Awareness, Attitudes and Motivations – UK Mobile Gambling 2013’ combined data collected from more than 2,000 UK mobile casino gambling fans.
The study focused mainly on brand awareness and usage, as well as motivation, attraction, and influences on the gamers. The report also mentioned the differences in play between mobile and online gambling, with speed of play, account usage and crossover playing also important to the results.
Interestingly, the brands that scored highest in brand awareness were all mobile sportsbooks who also ran casinos, companies such as Paddy Power, William Hill, Bet365, and Ladbrokes. The report looked at sports betting, casino, poker, and bingo players.
Vivid Interface’s Managing Director, Geoffrey Dixon, said: “We undertook the survey in order to develop a greater understanding of consumers’ behavior, their awareness, attitudes and motivations, in what is an incredibly fast moving and dynamic sector.”
Clarion Events’ Julian Graves continued: “This is an in-depth and thought provoking study, the results of which will help gaming brands deploy commercial strategies and, most importantly, review their marketing performance against that of their competitors.”
