Nokia Lumia 720 and Lumia 520 become the latest devices from the Finnish manufacturer to see the light of day at the MWC.

Mobile World Congress in Barcelona is in full swing, but Nokia’s press event is already over. The manufacturer has presented two brand new Windows Phone 8 running smartphones: the Lumia 720 and Lumia 520.

The new Windows mobile gambling devices sport dual-core 1 GHz Krait CPUs, and offer a wealth of Nokia’s software innovations including Maps, Drive, lenses and the like. Naturally, both devices run on the very latest version of Windows Phone 8 OS.

Nokia Lumia 720

The bigger brother, comes with a 4.3 inch ClearBlack WVGA screen with 800×480 resolution and super sensitive touch tech, which allows the smartphone to be used with nails, gloves and other things you usually don’t use on your phone. In terms of power, this mobile casino tamer has 512 MB of RAM on top of the dual-core Krait.

Other features include 8GB of internal memory and support for microSD cards of up to 64GB. Wireless charging, NFC connectivity are all there. The battery is a pretty nice unit of 2,000mAh, there’s also a 6.7MP snapper with f/1.9 aperture courtesy of Carl Zeiss. There’s plenty of colors to choose from, but the body is plastic, however the device is only 9mm thick and weighs 128g.

The smartphone is expected in Asia in Q2, 2013 and selected European markets for around $330. The absence of LTE support hits that it won’t make it to the USA.

Nokia Lumia 520

The smaller sibling, Lumia 520, has a 4 inch WVGA IPS LCD screen with the same super sensitive touch, the same CPU and RAM, but a lesser camera of 5MP supporting 720p video recording. The smartphone is slightly thicker at 9.9mm, but weighs less – 124g.

This Windows mobile casino device will also become available in Q2 starting with China, and will move on to the rest of the world including the USA. Pricing policy is suggested to be at around $183.
