Pantech Vega R3 Release Troubles Samsung and LG
Pantech Vega R3
Fans of mobile gaming on a phoneblet cheer happily as Pantech unveiled its Vega R3 to rival Samsung Galaxy Note II and LG Optimus Vu.
The new device is destined to put a dent into Samsung’s and LG’s hope to remain the leaders of the market. The Pantech Vega R3 phoneblet looks good, and packs some of the most impressive mobile casino games features.
The new device offers a 5.3 inch Natural IPS Pro LCD display with 720p resolution. It’s powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset. Four Krait CPU cores with 1.5GHz, 2GB of RAM, Adreno 320 GPU. These features are very impressive indeed, and should take the real money Android casinos to another level.
The new device is only 169g heavy and 9.95mm thick, thanks to the proprietary Zero Bezel Tech. The Pantech Vega R3 becomes the third device to feature an S4 Pro SoC after the Xiaomi Mi-Two and LG Optimus G.
The Pantech Vega R3 runs on Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box, but industry experts suggest that the Jelly Bean upgrade should reach it pretty soon.
Other specs of the phoneblet include a 2,600mAh battery, enough to make the Android blackjack sessions really last. And the 2A charger promises to fully recharge the device in under 100 minutes.
In the camera department users will receive a 13MP unit with Best Face function. Connectivity is taken care of by LTE, NFC, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0. As always with Pantech devices, there’s a microSD card to further extent the internal memory.
The Pantech Vega R3 is already available in South Korean via three carriers. So far no word on the international availability, but we’re pretty certain it will happen very soon, considering the specs and features of the device.
