Playlogic Entertainment May Dabble in Mobile Gambling
Fairytale Fights Slot
After surviving bankruptcy and rebranding, Playlogic Entertainment looks to mobile gambling for future fortunes.
In 2001, Rogier W. Smit was one of the original founders of both Playlogic Game Factory B.V. and Playlogic International N.V. He will also be the leader of the company’s latest incarnation. While the firm previously developed console games for Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft, now the firm intends to begin developing mobile games and possibly venture into mobile gambling.
Although Playogic strived to remain afloat, in July 2010 the Dutch game software developer drowned in overdue bills, defaulted loads, and poor liquidity, forcing a bankruptcy declaration. Five months later, the developers intend to re-launch as PlayLogic Entertainment N.V. The firm will be rehiring some of their former staff to restart work at the beginning of this coming year. Additionally, they may purchase a development firm already versed in the latest technology.
The development of Android Casino and iPhone Casino games could be seen as a radical departure for the company whose best known works include Fairy Fights, Prism – Threat Level: Red, and Obscure: The Aftermath, however looking at their previous work, it is easy to imagine exciting potential for new video slot games, with highly detailed graphics and amazing animations.
