Mobile Poker obviously more important that Syria for US Senator McCain
That’s right, folks, mobile poker is definitely on the up, as Senator John McCain can testify after indulging in a bit of iPhone gambling during a session of US lawmakers searching for the answer to the Syrian question.
The Republican Senator was sitting there quite rapt, all the while losing thousands of dollars – “fake” money, as he was keen to suggest. Well, if a former Presidential candidate can lose tons at mobile casinos, it surely makes everyone else feel a little better about their losses. You’ve probably never done it while being addressed by the President of the United States, though!
Of course, most online and mobile casino games are actually banned in most US states, including Washington DC, but poker remains a very popular past-time throughout America. Senator McCain’s reaction to being caught was actually quite positive, however, the statesman tweeting: “Scandal! Caught playing iPhone game at 3+ hour Senate hearing – worst of all I lost!”
He later commented on the faux pas, saying: “As much as I like to always listen in rapt attention constantly (to) remarks of my colleagues over a three-and-a-half-hour period, occasionally I get a little bored and so I resorted” to poker. “But the worst thing about it is I lost thousands of dollars in this game.”
