Poker player’s investment pays off very well.

Although the Philippines aren’t a rich country, its shores recently attracted top poker players for a high roller tournament as casino gambling news report.

As many as 30 poker champs have signed up for a multi-million tournament betting their own cash. One of them, Allan Le, a professional poker player from California, has entered the competition with a buy-in of nearly $130,000.

This casino strategy has paid off quite well as he became the victor among the lions with a first prize of $1.6 million. The second prize winner was Devan Tang (over $1 million payout), with a third player, Sun Szeng raking in over $600,000. The fourth place had a prize of $460,000, and it went to Richard Yong., while no. 5, Keith Gipson, has taken $380,000.

The name of the tour was Asian Poker Tour Manila Millions. This is one of the many and increasingly popular poker and blackjack tournaments that take place in Asia.

As it appears, Asian players happen to be avid card counting system enthusiasts and increasingly become the winners of these tours. Many try their luck at the tournaments after being kicked out of casinos for card counting and tricks.

At some casinos, security guards are required to study their photos in order to block the entry of the champs, which usually results in huge casino losses. Some of the champions are even rumored to enter Las Vegas and Macau casinos dressed as elderly grandmothers to avoid being caught. If caught, oh well, it’s not against the law for a man to dress as a woman. At least not in most places.
