PSP Phone Combines Mobile Gaming with Mobile Gambling

Sony’s highly anticipated new gadget, the PSP Phone, is rumored to be launching soon.
The source of all the buzz a blurry photo of an invitation to a mysterious launch event in France on the 9th of December – that’s just a few weeks away. The invitation contains a series of cryptic symbols, including a phone shape, an X, a circle, a triangle and a square. Some believe these symbols point to a PSP Phone, since the latter four shapes correspond to buttons on Sony gaming devices.
This is all speculation of course. Sony has yet to confirm that the PSP Phone even exists. But it certainly seems plausible that a PlayStation Phone is in the works, and the market is definitely ready for a next-gen device that marries smartphone technology with handheld gaming.
The possibilities that such a device could offer are very exciting. On the one hand it would be a PSP, giving users access to hundreds of modern video games. But it would also be an Android smartphone, meaning users can sign up with one of the many great Android casinos out there to enjoy real-money casino games while on the move. This combination of mobile gaming and mobile gambling would be an industry first, giving the PSP Phone a unique edge over the competition.
As the popularity of mobile gambling increases, so does the demand for innovation. A handheld video game device with mobile wireless capabilities running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread could be just what the mobile phone gambling industry needs to move forward.
