Samsung Aims to Introduce New Products to the Market, Later This Year
Tizen phone, Android Wear smartwatch and new Galaxy Note are among the new products that Samsung intends to launch later this year.
Senior vice president of product strategy for Samsung, Yoon Han-kil, highlighted the great success that new edition of Samsung’s flagship smartphone is currently enjoying.
He said the Samsung S5 “is selling faster than the S4 so far… S5 sales should be much better than the S4.”
He did not mention anything on sales numbers, but he asserted that S5 will sell “significantly more” units than its predecessor. S4s sold over 10 million units in its first month of the unveiling last year.
Tech experts believe the new phone will be a great hit with customers. Furthermore, the gambling industry already has developed games lined up for their customers that are avid players of Android casinos.
Yoon also gave indications the new phone is much more user friendly than the S4. The new smartphone won’t feature software and applications that are overly complicated.
“With the S4, we thought smartphones shouldn’t just focus on hardware, They also had to come with a lot of software and service, and that line of thinking did lead us to cram many services into the device.”
Operating system Tizen the way of the future
Yoon stated Samsung intends to launch at least two phones with the innovative Tizen operating system. Currently, smartwatches Gear 2 and Gear Fit make use of Tizen.
Tizen will also be able to accommodate the needs of mobile casino gambling players. A high-end handset that will feature the system within itself, is slated for release at the end of June, while a second model will be launched later in the year.
