Hungarian Shepherd beaten and hanged for seeing insurance fraud or alleged blackjack debt
A local shepherd was brutally attacked and hanged on a rope, causing him to almost die in the Hungarian town of Solt on Tuesday, local media reported.
According to the investigation, the shepherd was beaten half to death by at least three men. The shepherd was out in the field with his animals when the attackers approached him and started severely hitting and kicking him.
After the almost fatal beating, the assaulters hanged the man in a nearby shack and left him. However, the rope the thugs used was proven to be too weak and split just before the shepherd was out of breath.
The shepherd managed to reach the nearest house where the ambulance was called. After reaching hospital and talking to the police the shepherd fell into a coma.
The police were soon informed about a local gang involving a prison guard who allegedly planned an insurance fraud that involved a tractor. According to suspicions, the shepherd might have seen the theft of the tractor, or might have seen the tractor when it had already been stolen. According to rumors, the local gang wanted to silence him.
Other sources in the town claim that the man was allegedly attacked because of his debts in “fбjer”, a local card game similar to blackjack. Some other sources tell the whole story about the card debt is spread by the thugs to discredit the shepherd. The police was not able to confirm neither claims, and have so far made no arrests.
