Sony Xperia VL release date
Sony Xperia VL

The Sony Xperia VL becomes the latest smartphone to head for the land of the rising sun.

Following the announcement of the Sony Xperia AX for the Japanese mobile casino market, the Xperia VL is now next in line. Both devices are Japanese versions of the Sony Xperia V, where AX is heading for the NTT DoCoMo network and the VL for the KDDI.

Naturally, the Sony Xperia VL is identical to the international model – the Xperia V. The device will treat mobile casino games users to an awesome 4.3 inch screen with 720p resolution, a 13MP snapper, a dual-core Krait CPU, and LTE connectivity. The water- and dust-resistant capabilities are also in place.

The only difference between the Japanese and the international versions of the Sony Xperia V lies in the 1seg mobile TV support for the Xperia VL. The desk stand found only in the bundle for the Japanese market is almost not worth mentioning.

The Sony Xperia VL is expected to land in the hands of Android casino gamers by the end of the year. It’s running on the Ice Cream Sandwich, but our guess is that the Jelly Bean update will reach it almost immediately after the launch.

The usual Sony goodies – multimedia apps and Sony Walkman – are naturally included. And buyers can choose from black, blue, pink, and white color versions.
