Test Results Confirm Quad-core CPU for Huawei Ascend D2
Huawei Ascend D2
Huawei Ascend D2 is about to unleash its mobile gaming power onto the world, meanwhile benchmarks have confirmed its quad-core CPU.
Although the Huawei Ascend D2 – the Chinese manufacturer’s take on the growing in popularity phoneblet segment, has been already announced, some key specs were missing from the official description.
Luckily, Android casino fans were able to confirm the presence of a quad-core CPU in the Huawei Ascend D2 thanks to GLBenchmark test results.
The upcoming mobile casino games device will sport a 5 inch LCD FullHD screen with 1920×1080 resolution (rivaling the HTC DROID DNA, and the rumored devices from LG and Lenovo). Thanks to the benchmark test results it looks like the new phoneblet will indeed be powered by a quad-core 1.5GHz CPU.
Judging by the GLBenchmark results, it’s also likely that the device will feature Huawei’s proprietary K3V2 chipset. The OS is the latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with Huawei’s very own Emotion UI, and some sources already suggest that the Android 4.2 update will be available shortly after the device’s launch.
Other sources state that the Huawei Ascend D2 will be water and dust proof with a 13MP camera on the back panel. A juicy 2920mAh battery is also one of the suggestions. The phoneblet will most likely inherit Huawei’s competitive pricing policy approach.
The device is supposed to be launched in January 2013, but please note that we’re still in the rumor territory, and will have to wait until the official confirmation to be certain about the specs and the release date.
