Two California Casino Blackjack Dealers Charged with Grand Theft

Two blackjack dealers are being held by California Kings County police as prime suspects in the theft of copious $500 casino chips from the Tachi Palace Casino in Lemoore, California.

The two suspects, Sourivanh Henemoutnry of Porterville, CA and Ge Vang of Fresno, CA, both blackjack card game dealers in their early thirties, were filmed on close circuit security cameras misappropriating the $500 chips.

The pair fell under suspicion when casino security observed the two blackjack croupiers where demonstrating dubious blackjack strategy by regularly searching for the pit boss with their eyes while “doing strange things with their hands”. The security guards reviewed the videotape to discover one blackjack dealer stowing chips in his pocket after the receiving them from the other blackjack croupier. Subsequently, the first was discovered to hold $2,500 (5 x $500) in chips within his pockets.

One dealer confessed not only to stealing those chips, but pilfering another $1,500 casino chips on a different occasion.

In all, they believe about $5,000 in casino chips were taken. Assuming the casino chips have been cashed, either a friend or relative must have done this since blackjack casinos don’t permit dealers to cash chips. Both dealers were arresteed at the Tachi Palace Casino and are now being charged with both conspiracy and grand theft.
