The American Gaming Association (AGA) is a company that has been working for the interests of the commercial gambling sector in the US since 1995. Their main goal is to deal with legal issues like regulation and taxation when it comes to casino gambling in the country. Recently, they have been working very hard in the struggle to re-introduce online gambling in the US.

Every since the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) was passed in 2006, US players have found it difficult to gamble on the internet. The latest reports say that in the fourth quarter of 2008 alone, the AGA spent nearly a third of a million dollars lobbying for the legalization of online gambling in the United States.

Online gambling in the US has been all over the news lately. Democrats are working hard to draft legislation that could appeal the current ban on internet gambling in the country. Representative Barry Frank has been a big name recently, as he works hard to see that the legislation is passed.

In spite of the current ban, there are still ways for US players to enjoy online blackjack and other casino games.
