HTC J scheduled for Japan
HTC J announced

The HTC J smartphone heading for the Japanese market offers mobile gamers great specs and some unexpected innovations.

The HTC J is scheduled to make its debut in Japan through the KDDI provider. On top of being a pretty powerful beast the new phone will also provide mobile casinos fans with WiMAX technology. WiMAX is a part of 4G technology and allows data connection at bigger distances from the signal source than the conventional Wi-Fi.

At a closer look the HTC J is very similar to the recently launched HTC One S so very popular with Android casinos regulars. The new phone features the Snapdragon S4 chipset with two dual-core 1.5GHz CPU. The 4.3 inch AMOLED screen comes with the qHD resolution.

The 16GB on onboard memory is quite enough to provide space for any mobile casino games, but there’s also a microSD card if you need more storage. The 8MP snapper on the back, and the 1.3MP front camera offer quite enjoyable multimedia experience.

The HTC J also has an infrared port, on top of the usual connectivity arsenal. Naturally, the phone comes with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich delivering the latest technology and functionality.

As you can imagine the HTC J is much bigger than the One S sibling and sports 132x66x11.2mm measures. The new device is also heavier with its 142gr. Yet, to compensate, for a bit of bulkiness a 1810mAh battery has been included to prolong those Android blackjack sessions. A pair of UrBeats headphones is also included in the package.

The device is to hit the KDDI stores in Japan sometime in the summer of 2012. Currently it’s too early to predict the pricing policy for the new smartphone.
