Windows Phone 8 OS is soon to be announced and major manufacturers race to prepare devices to run on the WP8.
The latest rumors circulating on various mobile casino forums name the two Samsung smartphones to be powered by Windows Phone 8 as Macro and Odyssey. Gamers have already heard about the devices, but only sporting their codenames – I8370 and I8750.
The Samsung Macro is the cheaper of the two, and features a 4.0 SuperAMOLED WVGA display, dual-core 1.5GHz Krait CPU, a 5MP rear snapper and a 1.9MP front camera. Real money mobile casino games will fit nicely inside the smartphone thanks to 8GB of internal memory and expansion capabilities via a microSD card.
The Samsung Odyssey is almost identical to the extremely popular Galaxy S III save the different OS. This monster will be a true Windows mobile casinos tamer with its 4.8 inch SuperAMOLED HD screen, 1.5GHz dual-core Krait processor, an 8MP rear and a 1.9MP front cameras.
Users will be able to choose between a 16GB or a 32GB versions of the smartphone, and the microSD card slot is also provided for further extension.
The Windows Phone 8 devices from Samsung are scheduled for release in Q4 this year. The Samsung Macro is expected to cost between EUR 350 and 450, while the big brother Odyssey will set back Windows mobile gambling fans from EUR 500 to 600.
