Windows Phone Acer Allegro Wins Gamble on a Reduced Price
Acer Allegro
No fireworks, no rumors, just cold hard facts and great smartphones: this is what mobile gamers expect from Acer and nothing less.
Amid all the hype around iPhone 4S, Nokia Lumia 800, Galaxy Nexus and the Pushkin 5000, Acer made a low key announcement introducing its new Allegro smartphone. This will be the first Acer powered by Windows Phone 7.5 Mango, the operating system from the people who brought you the Windows operating system.
Fans of mobile casinos favor Acer phones for their reliability and reasonable prices. The latest device is no exception, and with a €299 price tag, it’s destined to generate fevered levels of excitement among the fans of Windows.
The specs of the phone are mid-range, but quite enough to provide owners with quality gaming sessions at Windows mobile casinos. The Acer Allegro will pack a 1GHz single-core Qualcomm CPU, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory. The 3.6 inch LCD screen has WVGA resolution, 5MP snapper with dual-LED flash which supports 720p HD video over Skype.
The Allegro features a 1300 mAh battery, which is enough for 6 hrs of continuous talk time. The phone packs all the necessary connectivity options Windows mobile gambling enthusiasts could expect from a modern smartphone and weighs only 126 grams.
The release date in Europe is scheduled for mid-November and with €299 price it could become the cheapest Windows Phone 7.5 device to date.
