Xiaomi MI-2S Rumored to Be Faster Than the Samsung Galaxy S4
Xiaomi MI-2S
Xiaomi prepared to launch the MI-2S smartphone, whose benchmarks beat that of the Samsung Galaxy S4.
According to the latest rumors Samsung Galaxy S4 is no longer the fastest Android casino tamer even though it hasn’t been launched yet. Apparently, Xiaomi has managed to upgrade its MI-2 smartphone in a way to beat the Korean monster.
The benchmark tests were carried out by Xiaomi themselves, so we advise caution in believing their figures, but still the speed difference is obvious. The MI-2S mobile casino device will sport a Snapdragon 600 chipset instead of the S4 Pro SoC found inside the MI-2.
According to the benchmark figures, the quad-core Krait 300 CPU clocked at 1.7GHz, which made its way inside the Xiaomi MI-2S, beats the speed of the Galaxy S4 (with Krait 300 CPU clocked at 1.9GHz). Naturally, it’s up to you to believe the Chinese manufacturer or not, let’s hope the device is released soon so we can test it ourselves.
The same source that brought us this news, says that the Xiaomi MI-2S will be available in a 16GB version with an 8MP snapper for around $320, and a 64GB model with a 13MP camera for around $370. Other specs include a 4.3 inch screen with 720p resolution, 2GB of RAM, 2,000 or 3,000mAh battery, and MIUI 5, which is based on Android 4.1.
Once again Xiaomi manages to pack great specifications inside their smartphones and sell them at a fraction of what the other manufacturers are charging for similar devices.
