Microgaming’s High Streak European Blackjack is another one of those all-time-classic online blackjack titles. The game uses 2 decks and requires the dealer to stand on all 17s. Within this review, we take a look at the rules, among pay-outs and proven winning strategies.
High Streak European Blackjack Review: An Introduction
When launching High Streak European Blackjack, you’ll be astonished with the presentation for the Microgaming blackjack game. European Blackjack is at its finest when you’ve got streaks in place. Thus, whenever you make a consecutive win, you’ll receive additional rewards.
If you want to play High Streak European Blackjack, you’ve got to have a good amount of credit in your account. The game is at its finest when you’ve got a few hours to kill and want to play for a profit in all seriousness. But you do need to have some cash to put down. Find out more in the rules below.
Rules
First and foremost, you’ll want a proper insight into the rules of the game. The majority of the basic blackjack rules are pretty much the same on High Streak. More specifically, the European Blackjack rules.
As you may remember, the players can count on the dealer to stand on 17s.
Splitting is allowed, but players cannot re-split any hand. Aces, on the other hand, may be split but can only take one more card. When split aces receive a 10, it counts as 21, not as blackjack.
Doubling down is also an option for players. However, it is only available for either an 8, 10, or 11. You cannot double down after a split or a blackjack hand.
So far, you’ve seen that all the rules are pretty much the same as standard European Blackjack. The one big change from the game is the special High Streak side bet.
A maximum bet of 200 credits can be bet at once. If the hand is won, the bet moves up the ladder to the next position, and a new side bet may be placed. Each consecutive win increases the payout odds of the side bet, bringing in ever higher wins for the player.
Pay-outs
When playing this game, bear in mind, that credits can be anything between €/£/$ 1 and €/£/$ 200. There’s a total of 8 different chip sizes, making it easy to bet exactly how much you want.
The game has two payout schedules, one for the main game and one for the side bet. The main game pays blackjack out at 3/2. Standard wins are worth 1/1 whilst insurance betting on the dealer’s ace pays out at 2/1.
The High Streak side bets pay out rather differently. Here’s how rewarding they are:
- 2nd Streak Win – 1:1
- 3rd Streak Win – 2:1
- 4th Streak Win – 5:1
- 5th Streak Win – 10:1
Please note, that a new side bet may be placed after each winning hand. So, if a player makes it to the 5th Streak Win level, it is possible to be paid out on all Streak Win levels at once! Also, the original bet is returned if the 5th Streak is won. (edit later)
Visuals
High Streak European Blackjack is just like all other Microgaming card games. That is to say, the graphics excel!
The table is perfectly designed, with lots of useful information placed along the edges. This makes it out of the way from the playing area but still easily accessible.
The card graphics are bold and easy to read, and the chips use a unique floating effect to make it unmistakable how much is being bet on each hand. The design and overall look of the game simply couldn’t be any better.
Winning Strategy for High Streak European Blackjack
One of the best bits about this blackjack game is that the side bets pay out each hand. That means that you can lose the main bet but still make a killing by placing side bets.
It is easy to get to the 3rd or even 4th level, and a little trickier to make it all the way to the 5th, but the payouts increase exponentially as the wins pile up, making this side bet worth spending money on.
Overall
Thus, to conclude this High Streak European Blackjack review, taking a gamble on the big money game would be a major risk for a massive reward. Whilst the stakes can be suited for both low and high rollers, the streak payout is where all the real money lies. If you can manage to find a way of beating the dealer in consecutive hands, you’re in for a classic good time with rewarding loot at the end of it.
The strategy for High Streak European Blackjack is available in this review as well. We would recommend trying out the free play version of the game at first to get a feel for how the action takes place. Once you’ve done so, brush up on your knowledge of the game and get to playing on those winning streaks. The rewards are astronomical and truly make the blackjack game worthwhile.
