Using a total of 6 different decks, Hot Streak Blackjack is similar to many other productions by WagerWorks. The title is fantastic in what it offers and sees the dealer stand on all 17s, soft and hard. Find out more in our Hot Streak Blackjack WagerWorks review.
Hot Streak Blackjack WagerWorks Review: An Introduction
Within this review, we break down all the need-to-know details about the Hot Streak Blackjack game by WagerWorks. The game combines all the basic blackjack rules of the European game and adds an extra element. Next up, we take a look at just what is in the rules of the game.
Rules
Much like you’ll find in European Blackjack, the dealer is required to stand on all 17s. Doubling down is also available on any two cards, even after a split.
You’re allowed to split once, but re-splitting is sadly forbidden in this game. Aces can be split, just like any other card, but receiving a blackjack on them is not possible. Hence, if you receive a 10-point-card on a split ace, it counts as 21, not blackjack.
Here’s where it gets interesting. If you’ve got a six-card hand, which does not exceed 21, you beat the dealer – unless the house has got blackjack. That is to say, by sticking with it and receiving many small cards, you can use this to your advantage and overcome the dealer.
Insurance betting is also available, making the former rule even more valuable. However, surrendering is not an option. The special rule for this game is as follows.
For any additional side bet, you enable Hot Streak mode. When receiving two or more consecutive wins, you earn a multiplier bonus on your side bet. This perk goes up to a total of four wins. We’ll look into some strategies for Hot Streak just a little later.
Financial Stipulations
Next up, you’re going to want to know all the limitations of the game. Hot Streak Blackjack allows the player to place anything between €/£ 1 and €/£ 1000. Bets can be made with five different chip sizes, ensuring that you can place exactly how much you want.
The pay-outs for this one is as follows:
Blackjack pays out at 3/2, insurance betting is worth 2/1 and a standard win is evens (1/1). In this WagerWorks title, all ties push.
And, for the special in the game, here’s how Hot Streak wins pay-out:
- 1 win – Bet Rides
- 2 consecutive wins – 1.5x
- 3 consecutive wins – 3x
- 4 consecutive wins – 6x
If you lose a hand during a Hot Streak, you are paid out at the last level you attained.
Design and Presentation
Just like most WagerWorks Blackjack games, the graphics in this one are crisp and clean. Moreover, there’s a true sense of realism when playing. When you first launch the game, you’ll find it to be identical to many different types of blackjack games.
However, the differences start to become noticed once you move on to the Hot Streak feature.
Everything is made ideally visually so that you can see how well your bet is doing. As you work your way up the ladder, your chips multiply to show you how much you have won. They also get animated with an awesome flame effect! It is little touches like these that make WagerWorks games look so good. Plus, they’re easy to learn and play, which makes them fit for anyone!
Winning Strategy for Hot Streak Blackjack
When playing Hot Streak Blackjack, splitting aces is one of the most common blackjack tricks you may want to use. However, we would also recommend you make use of the special features within this game.
When you’ve got a relatively low hand, it’s wise to try and reach that six-card amount. After all, by doing so, you’ve all but beaten the dealer – aside from him receiving a blackjack. But, if you place an insurance bet on his first card, you can pretty much guarantee a victory, so long as you keep within the six-card total.
The Hot Streak perks are also there to be taken advantage of. If you do decide to place the additional side bet, the multipliers can get pretty sweet. If you feel luck is on your side, we advise you back yourself and see that multiplier sextuple your winnings.
Overall
Although Hot Streak Blackjack WagerWorks may be difficult to grasp at first, it is a very profitable and enjoyable game once you get the hang of it. Whilst we recommend playing the free demo version for about an hour before placing any real solid cash, you can go at your own pace. According to this Hot Streak Blackjack WagerWorks review, we’ve got to note that the game is certainly more fun than Classic Blackjack. The visuals are set for a quality gamer experience and the payouts are all pretty standard. If you play, you will have to risk a bit but the reward and enjoyment could be worth your time.
